First snow

Quietly but surely winter whirls its way :) And that's great! I've eagerly been awaiting both winter and Christmas to come :D There's still time though, especially to the latter one, 'thus feeling merry and making gifts to Santa's knapsack. This year I'm especially thrilled since I just learned how to knit this summer - about time! And that's why everyone in family will receive heartfelt, soft wrappings this Christmas :)

As this is my first post, I'll show my very first two-color knitted glove and I think it's actually a Fair Isle knitting although I had no idea of such technique until now while making this post. Anyway, this glove was finished yesterday :)

Front of the glove.
Palm of the glove.

The model is a combination from charts number 36 'Mummon kirjoneulelapaset' pages 38-39 in magazine 'Kauneimmat lapaset, sukat & asusteet' and 'Neiti Sofie-sormikas' page 27 in 'Pirkanmaan kotityö Oy: Lapanen ohjekuvasto'.

I'd say I'm happy the way this glove turned out - those spacious fingers are intentional. I used Novita's '7 Veljestä' yarn (best yarn in Finland in my opinion) and number 3 dpns.

Have a lovely, wintry, weekend everyone!

Ps. Covers of magazines mentioned above :)

Good one for beginners and pros!

Some lovely Finnish designs.
